The Jack Attack

Welcome the newest addition to our family. It's finally happened... we had a boy!! Well, we brought him home anyway & it's actually our 2nd boy. We came home last Wednesday, the 25th, with a new little Vizlsa pup for an early birthday present for Brooke. His name is Jack. We started him out with the name Radar, but Brooke kept calling him Rover. That wasn't going to work, so daddy helped her come up with a new name, hence, Jack. He was born on May 12th, '08. When we brought him home he was 9 lbs. and I don't know how many oz, my scale doesn't have ounces on it! Brad said, "I'm not measuring him! You don't measure & weigh dogs like you do babies". I said, "well WE do!" He still didn't measure him for me. Jack's eyes are a beautiful, I mean, manly, green, and are just so cute. It's been quite the week around here getting used to crying during the night, potty training during the day, and even more so, the adjustments that Gunner has had to make! That dog was KILLING us with his whimpiness. He would jump over Jack like a rabbit if he would get too close. He would get up and move off his bed completely if Jack even put his leg or head on it to the point of sleeping on the floor if Jack actually got on it completely. (As if he took up a lot of space anyways!) It has been quite entertaining for the whole family. It's been a week ago yesterday, and Gunner is making strides in his new found relationship with Jack, and of not being the only dog in the house. He actually will play with him now, and it's really really cute. He like to eat! As you can see, he comes running to his bowl when it's time! He's a growing boy! Another fun thing is that he is realizing what his name is, so that's fun! Awe, I just love babies, and baby breath. Not so much the grown-up dog breath!
